Once again, Kylemore’s Annual Holiday Party for trades, consultants and colleagues has kicked-off the season in high style! The Markham-based luxury homebuilder and developer hosts the get-together to thank its building partners for their contribution to another successful year. Guests are asked to bring a new toy to help brighten the holidays for Markham families.
For a fifth consecutive year, the toys collected were donated to the Christmas Food and Toy Drive organized by Unionville Alliance Church (UAC) and partner churches, which in turn distribute hampers to area families.
Russell Foy, UAC, Hampers of Hope volunteer, was on hand to receive the toys.
“We are extremely grateful to Kylemore and their many partners for the wonderful boost our annual toy drive receives. With their support we will be able to help 200 families this year,” he said.
“Helping others is what unites a community and strengthens our ties to each other,” said Kylemore president Patrick O’Hanlon, who is well-known for his philanthropy and charitable work. “It is part of our DNA to give generously, and it’s heartwarming to know that the Christmas season will be brighter for many children because of the generous donations our guests made to the toy drive.”
In the past nine years, the Annual Kylemore Kares Charity Golf Tournament has raised over $1 million for charity. With funds from this event, Kylemore Communities assists charities and non-profit organizations throughout the year.
Since 1997, Kylemore has been developing and building the master-planned Angus Glen Community in Markham. A neighbourhood of almost 1,100 homes, parks, two 18-hole championship golf courses, shops and restaurants, Angus Glen is the recipient of a prestigious 2014 Markham Design Excellence Award and Building Industry and Land Development Association’s (BILD) pinnacle 2013 Places to Grow Community of the Year Award.
